12/8/2023 Update


Enchanted Elysium was created for my Game Design 1 final project. I wanted to use this project to create something that I enjoyed and a way to learn more about the coding side of game design. There is still much more I would like to do with this project in the coming months!

To start the process, I brainstormed concepts by writing down everything that came to mind. I went through the list and picked out possible concepts that would work together. Trying to balance story/art and game mechanics was difficult but I found a good in-between. After brainstorming the general idea I planned out the puzzles and how they connected to each other. 

Designing the level layout and the artistic design of the level was my favorite part of the project. I knew there were certain scenes/environments that I wanted so I tried my best to create them with the assets I had available to me. It took some creative uses of assets to get the bulk of my ideas made but it worked out in the end! 

The sound design is not fully flushed out at this point however that is what I would like to finish working on next. 

All around, I'm very proud of what I was able to get done in such a short amount of time with the limited blueprinting knowledge that I have.
